**Shah Alam/Palembang** – Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) terus memperluas jejaring akademiknya di kancah internasional. Pada Minggu, 26 Mei 2024, UNSRI berkolaborasi dengan Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia dalam penyelenggaraan webinar pengajaran kolaboratif (Collaborative Teaching Webinar).

Mengusung tema "Current Trends in IT for Development", kegiatan ini menghadirkan Prof. Deris Stiawan, M.T., Ph.D. dari Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UNSRI sebagai International Guest Speaker.

Acara ini dipandu oleh moderator Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Abdul Rahim Bin Wan Mohd Isa, Dekan (Akademik dan Internasional) College of Computing, Informatics and Mathematics, UiTM.

Webinar ini merupakan bagian dari mata kuliah Information Technology and Global Development (ICT754) pada program Master of Science in Information Technology di UiTM untuk semester Maret–Agustus 2024. Kolaborasi ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya wawasan mahasiswa pascasarjana kedua universitas mengenai tren teknologi informasi terkini dan dampaknya bagi pembangunan global.

**Shah Alam/Palembang** – Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) continues to expand its academic network on the international stage. On Sunday, May 26, 2024, UNSRI collaborated with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia in organizing a collaborative teaching webinar.

With the theme &quot;Current Trends in IT for Development,&quot; this event featured Prof. Deris Stiawan, M.T., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Computer Science, UNSRI as the International Guest Speaker.

The event was moderated by Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Abdul Rahim Bin Wan Mohd Isa, Dean (Academic and International) of the College of Computing, Informatics and Mathematics, UiTM.

This webinar is part of the Information Technology and Global Development (ICT754) course in the Master of Science in Information Technology program at UiTM for the March–August 2024 semester. This collaboration is expected to enrich the knowledge of postgraduate students from both universities regarding the latest information technology trends and their impact on global development.

Kolaborasi ini melibatkan diaspora Indonesia di Al-Baha University, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Budiarto, dalam pengembangan riset pada bidang kepakaran Cyber Security, Intrusion Detection Systems, IoT Security, IPv6, Security for Industrial Control Systems, Computer Networks, Security and Privacy in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks, serta Traffic Classification.
Kolaborasi strategis ini juga melibatkan sejumlah perguruan tinggi di Indonesia, yaitu Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPN Veteran Jakarta), Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), dan Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi, sebagai bentuk sinergi dalam memperkuat ekosistem riset nasional dan internasional.

The COMNETS Research Group’s extended family of students and alumni proudly extends its congratulations and best wishes to Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan, M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., on his success in securing the 2026 Mobility Research Grant for High-Impact Diaspora, a grant program organized by the Directorate of Research and Development Talent Development, Directorate General of Research and Development, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
This collaboration involves an Indonesian diaspora member at Al-Baha University, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Budiarto, in the development of research in the fields of cybersecurity, intrusion detection systems, IoT security, IPv6, security for industrial control systems, computer networks, security and privacy in vehicular ad-hoc networks, and traffic classification.
This strategic collaboration also involves several universities in Indonesia, namely Jenderal Soedirman University (UNSOED), Jakarta Veteran National Development University (UPN Veteran Jakarta), Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), and Muhammadiyah University of Kotabumi, as a form of synergy to strengthen the national and international research ecosystem.
