COMNETS TALK - ACM STUDENT CHAPTER SERIES : Botnet IoT Detection with Data Reduction Approach

PALEMBANG – In an effort to strengthen the security of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, the Computer Network and Information Security (COMNETS) Research Group of the Faculty of Computer Science at Sriwijaya University held a webinar entitled "Botnet IoT Detection with Data Reduction Approach" on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. This event is part of the ACM Student Chapter Series, which aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between research alumni and students.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Susanto, a research alumnus from COMNETS, will discuss the major challenges in detecting botnet attacks on resource-constrained IoT devices. He will highlight how the Data Reduction approach is a crucial solution to speed up the detection process without burdening network and device performance.
The webinar will be hosted by Septiani K. N., S.Kom, MTCNA.

This online event, held via the Zoom platform, is not only an educational forum but also demonstrates COMNETS' commitment to contributing to international cybersecurity research through collaboration with the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery).
