COMNETS RG kicked off its series of “Meet with Experts” events for COMNETS alumni with an inaugural session focusing on the themes of Networking, VoIP, and Troubleshooting. This event was designed as a forum for alumni and participants to share experiences and discuss the application of computer networking knowledge in addressing real-world needs and challenges in the industry.
For this inaugural session, COMNETS RG featured Abdul Quddus Pahmi SZ, S.Kom., a Network Engineer at PT Graha Karya Informasi, as the speaker. COMNETS RG Holds First &quot;Meet with Experts&quot; Session for Alumni to Discuss Networks, VoIP, and Troubleshooting

Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) mencatatkan capaian positif dalam pemeringkatan bidang ilmu Blockchain and Cryptography yang dirilis oleh EduRank. Dalam daftar tersebut, UNSRI menempati peringkat ke-13 di Indonesia, peringkat ke-1.020 di Asia, serta peringkat ke-2.190 dunia untuk bidang Blockchain dan Cryptography. Posisi tersebut menempatkan Universitas Sriwijaya di antara 20 perguruan tinggi Indonesia yang tercantum dalam pemeringkatan EduRank untuk bidang tersebut. UNSRI berada dalam persaingan bersama sejumlah perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta terkemuka di Indonesia, seperti Institut Teknologi Bandung, Telkom University, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Indonesia, dan Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember.
Pemeringkatan ini merefleksikan visibilitas dan performa luaran ilmiah institusi pada bidang blockchain dan kriptografi. Capaian tersebut juga menjadi dorongan bagi UNSRI untuk terus memperkuat pengembangan riset pada teknologi digital yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masa kini, khususnya sistem terdistribusi, keamanan informasi, perlindungan data, serta inovasi berbasis blockchain. EduRank menyusun daftar universitas terbaik di Indonesia untuk bidang Blockchain and Cryptography berdasarkan kinerja riset. Penilaian dilakukan melalui analisis publikasi ilmiah dan dampaknya dalam bentuk sitasi, bukan berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan yang tersedia maupun program studi yang ditawarkan oleh setiap universitas.
Dalam pemeringkatan tersebut, EduRank menggunakan data dari 3,91 ribu artikel ilmiah yang memperoleh total 19,7 ribu sitasi, berasal dari 20 universitas di Indonesia. Nilai publikasi kemudian disesuaikan dengan waktu terbitnya artikel sebelum diakumulasikan menjadi skor akhir setiap institusi. Dengan pendekatan tersebut, peringkat yang diperoleh UNSRI menunjukkan kontribusi riset institusional yang terindeks dan mendapatkan perhatian dalam ekosistem akademik bidang Blockchain and Cryptography. Pemeringkatan ini tidak dimaksudkan sebagai penilaian kualitas program sarjana maupun pascasarjana secara langsung, melainkan sebagai gambaran performa riset pada bidang spesifik tersebut.

In the list, UNSRI ranked 13th in Indonesia, 1,020th in Asia, and 2,190th globally in the field of Blockchain and Cryptography. This position places Sriwijaya University among the 20 Indonesian universities listed in the EduRank rankings for this field. UNSRI is competing alongside a number of leading public and private universities in Indonesia, such as the Bandung Institute of Technology, Telkom University, the University of North Sumatra, the University of Indonesia, and the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology.
This ranking reflects the institution’s visibility and scientific output in the fields of blockchain and cryptography. This achievement also serves as an incentive for UNSRI to continue strengthening research and development in digital technologies relevant to current needs, particularly distributed systems, information security, data protection, and blockchain-based innovations. EduRank compiles a list of the top universities in Indonesia for the field of Blockchain and Cryptography based on research performance. The assessment is based on an analysis of scientific publications and their impact in the form of citations, rather than on the levels of education available or the degree programs offered by each university.
In this ranking, EduRank used data from 3,910 scientific articles that received a total of 19,700 citations, originating from 20 universities in Indonesia. The value of the publications was then adjusted according to the articles’ publication dates before being aggregated into a final score for each institution. Using this approach, UNSRI’s ranking reflects the institution’s contribution to indexed research that has garnered attention within the academic ecosystem of the Blockchain and Cryptography field. This ranking is not intended as a direct assessment of the quality of undergraduate or graduate programs, but rather as an indication of research performance in that specific field.
