Wardriving: WLAN Security Audit and Signal Atennuation Analysis (Case Study: Public Wireless Environment in a High-Density Urban Corridor, Palembang)
This audit evaluates MAC-layer encryption robustness, spectral congestion, and signal viability (RSSI) within a high-density urban environment in Palembang. The findings reveal a critical reliance on legacy WPA/WPA2 protocols (73.4%) and a significant proportion of unsecured 'Open' networks (22.6%). Furthermore, severe signal attenuation is observed, with the majority of Access Points categorized as 'Weak' (< -75 dBm), which inevitably leads to pervasive packet loss and compromised network reliability.
