Prestasi membanggakan kembali ditorehkan oleh civitas akademika Universitas Sriwijaya melalui kolaborasi lintas disiplin ilmu. Tim gabungan dosen dan mahasiswa UNSRI berhasil lolos sebagai penerima hibah pendanaan Program Mahasiswa Berdampak: Pemberdayaan Masyarakat oleh BEM (PM-BEM) Tahun Anggaran 2025.

Tim ini mengusung judul proposal yang sangat relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat lokal, yaitu: **HOMEDRYCOFFEE: Rumah Pengeringan dan Pengelola Limbah Kopi Berbasis Teknologi dan SDBP di Desa Pajar Bulan sebagai Inovasi Pascapanen yang Berkelanjutan.**

Keberhasilan ini tidak lepas dari komposisi tim yang solid dan beragam, menggabungkan kepakaran dari berbagai bidang ilmu untuk menyelesaikan masalah kompleks di lapangan.
Program HOMEDRYCOFFEE dirancang untuk menjawab tantangan pascapanen yang dihadapi petani kopi di Desa Pajar Bulan. Dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi rumah pengeringan cerdas dan sistem pengelolaan limbah, inovasi ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas biji kopi sekaligus menjaga kelestarian lingkungan melalui penerapan SDBP (Sustainable Development Best Practice).

Partisipasi mahasiswa Teknik Komputer dalam proyek ini membuktikan bahwa teknologi informasi dan sistem komputer dapat diterapkan secara nyata untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa.

Kelompok Keilmuan Bidang Jaringan Komputer, Enterprise dan Keamanan Informasi Universitas Sriwijaya mengucapkan Selamat dan Sukses kepada seluruh tim. Semoga implementasi program ini berjalan lancar dan memberikan dampak ekonomi serta lingkungan yang nyata bagi masyarakat Desa Pajar Bulan.

Another proud achievement has been made by the academic community of Sriwijaya University through interdisciplinary collaboration. A joint team of UNSRI lecturers and students has successfully qualified as recipients of funding grants from the Impactful Student Program: Community Empowerment by BEM (PM-BEM) for the 2025 Fiscal Year.

The team submitted a proposal title that is highly relevant to the needs of the local community, namely: **HOMEDRYCOFFEE: A Technology-Based Coffee Waste Drying and Management Facility and SDBP in Pajar Bulan Village as a Sustainable Post-Harvest Innovation.**

This success is inseparable from the solid and diverse composition of the team, combining expertise from various fields of science to solve complex problems in the field.
The HOMEDRYCOFFEE program is designed to address the post-harvest challenges faced by coffee farmers in Pajar Bulan Village. By integrating smart drying house technology and waste management systems, this innovation is expected to improve coffee bean quality while preserving the environment through the application of SDBP (Sustainable Development Best Practice).

The participation of Computer Engineering students in this project proves that information technology and computer systems can be applied in a practical way to improve the welfare of rural communities.

The Computer Network, Enterprise, and Information Security Research Group at Sriwijaya University congratulates the entire team on their success. We hope that the implementation of this program will run smoothly and have a tangible economic and environmental impact on the community of Pajar Bulan Village.

Dr. Javad Rezazadeh is currently the Deputy Head of the School of IT at CIHE. He is also senior lecturer and unit coordinator for Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Introduction to IT, Applied Software Engineering, and Capstone Project at CIHE.
From 2016 to 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, and he successfully secured funding for two UTS Blue Sky Grants in 2016 and 2018 based on his original research proposals in IoT. Dr. Javad holds a PhD in Wireless Communications from University Technology Malaysia (UTM), where he received the Academic Excellent Student Award as the top One postgraduate in 2014. He received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees, both in Software Engineering, in 2008 and 2005, respectively.
Dr. Javad was honoured with the Teaching Excellence Award for two consecutive years (2022 and 2023) from Victoria University Sydney. He also received the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference (InECCE-2011) and a Gold Medal at the 15th INATEX-2013 international exhibition in Malaysia.
Currently Dr Rezazadeh runs 2 journal special issues in Journal Sensors (Q1, Impact Factor 3.4) and Journal Future Internet (Q1, Impact Factor 2.8). He has great scholarly activity with h-index of 22 on Google Scholar and over 2,000 citations. His research interests include indoor positioning, localization systems, Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, wireless networks, and mobile computing.

Before taking an academic position, he had more than 20 years of experience in ICT integration entrepreneurship projects for government agencies, private companies and higher education. His niche area of research work focuses on creative innovation and digital technology. He has received various recognitions and awards in research and innovation competitions at the national and international levels. He was granted 10 IP for various innovations and inventions from technology research to innovative entrepreneurship education models, and he has written more than 70 journal articles, case studies, conference proceedings and other writings in the areas of applied digital technology, creative computing, entrepreneurship education innovation and cybersecurity. Prof. Dr. Basheer Riskhan has completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Huazhong University of Science and Technology China. Dr. Basheer has an immense university/industry experience in several countries. He served as an academician and in a management position at the middle and top levels.&nbsp; Snowballing, he has 17 years of experience as an academician, and he served as a Lecturer, Senior lecturer, and Associate Professor. In a management position, he served as a Software Engineer, administrator, and Vice Director of foreign affairs. Currently, he is serving as Dean of the School of Computing and Informatics at Albukhary International University, Malaysia. He contributed several years as a Chief Examiner and Chief of the Evaluation Panel at the Examination Department, Ministry of Education in Information Technology, and a member of the curriculum development team at the National Institute of Education Sri Lanka. Besides academics and management, Dr. Basheer is also an excellent researcher in the domain of Data science, Big data, Cloud Counting, Machine Learning, and virtualization. He published many indexed journals in these domains and supervised students at the post-graduate level. He is also part of several active research groups and a member of research societies. Also, he provides his services as a reviewer in numerous journals and conferences. He received several awards for his research contribution, i.e., a Ph.D. scholarship award, an Outstanding Paper Presenter award, and &ldquo;The Best Teacher in My Heart&rdquo; award.
