Komitmen Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) dalam membangun transformasi digital yang berdampak terus diwujudkan melalui kontribusi para penelitinya. Salah satu wujud nyata tersebut adalah keterlibatan Research Group COMNETS (Computer Network and Information Systems) sebagai tenaga ahli sekaligus pengembang eko sistem digital IAMUNSRI, platform resmi yang menghubungkan alumni, mahasiswa tingkat akhir, dan mitra perusahaan dalam satu layanan terintegrasi. Sejak diluncurkan pada awal tahun 2026, IAMUNSRI menunjukkan perkembangan yang sangat positif. Hingga saat ini, platform tersebut telah digunakan oleh lebih dari 5.000 pengguna, yang terdiri atas mahasiswa tingkat akhir dan alumni Universitas Sriwijaya. Pertumbuhan pengguna tersebut mencerminkan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan layanan digital yang mampu menghubungkan lulusan dengan dunia kerja secara lebih efektif dan terpercaya.

Sebagai kelompok riset yang memiliki fokus pada pengembangan jaringan komputer, sistem informasi, transformasi digital, dan teknologi cerdas, Research Group COMNETS berperan dalam merancang arsitektur sistem, integrasi layanan, keamanan data, serta pengembangan inovasi yang menjadikan IAMUNSRI sebagai platform yang adaptif terhadap kebutuhan pengguna dan perkembangan industri digital.
Pada pengembangan terbaru, COMNETS menghadirkan dua inovasi strategis yang semakin memperkuat posisi IAMUNSRI sebagai ekosistem digital alumni.
Inovasi pertama adalah integrasi IAMUNSRI dengan SEEK Pass by JobStreet melalui teknologi Application Programming Interface (API) yang berjalan secara real-time. Melalui kolaborasi ini, setiap alumni Universitas Sriwijaya yang telah menyelesaikan proses verifikasi identitas pada IAMUNSRI akan secara otomatis memperoleh status Verified (Centang Biru) pada akun JobStreet mereka. Kolaborasi ini menjadi salah satu tonggak penting transformasi digital Universitas Sriwijaya. Menurut Aron Roderick, Country Partnership Lead SEEK Australia, Universitas Sriwijaya menjadi kampus pertama di Indonesia yang menghadirkan integrasi SEEK Pass dengan sistem universitas melalui mekanisme API secara real-time. Inovasi tersebut menjadi langkah strategis dalam memperkuat ekosistem rekrutmen digital yang lebih terpercaya, efisien, dan memberikan nilai tambah bagi lulusan saat memasuki dunia kerja.
Inovasi kedua adalah peluncuran fitur Chat Alumni, yang memungkinkan seluruh alumni Universitas Sriwijaya yang telah terdaftar pada IAMUNSRI untuk saling berkomunikasi secara langsung di dalam platform. Fitur ini menjadi ruang digital bagi alumni untuk berbagi informasi, memperluas jejaring profesional, membuka peluang kolaborasi, berbagi pengalaman karier, hingga membangun komunitas yang lebih aktif dan produktif.
Sebagai tenaga ahli dan pengembang platform, Research Group COMNETS memandang bahwa perguruan tinggi memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun ekosistem digital yang mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang siap menghadapi tantangan era transformasi digital. Sriwijaya University’s (UNSRI) commitment to driving impactful digital transformation continues to be realized through the contributions of its researchers. One tangible example of this is the involvement of the COMNETS (Computer Network and Information Systems) Research Group as experts and developers of the IAMUNSRI digital ecosystem—the official platform that connects alumni, graduating students, and corporate partners through a single integrated service. Since its launch in early 2026, IAMUNSRI has shown very positive growth. To date, the platform has been used by more than 5,000 users, consisting of final-year students and alumni of Sriwijaya University. This growth in users reflects the increasing need for digital services capable of connecting graduates to the workforce more effectively and reliably.

As a research group focused on the development of computer networks, information systems, digital transformation, and smart technologies, the COMNETS Research Group plays a key role in designing system architecture, service integration, data security, and developing innovations that make IAMUNSRI a platform capable of adapting to user needs and developments in the digital industry.
In its latest development, COMNETS has introduced two strategic innovations that further strengthen IAMUNSRI’s position as a digital alumni ecosystem.
The first innovation is the integration of IAMUNSRI with SEEK Pass by JobStreet via real-time Application Programming Interface (API) technology. Through this collaboration, every University of Sriwijaya alumnus who has completed the identity verification process on IAMUNSRI will automatically receive “Verified” (Blue Checkmark) status on their JobStreet account. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the digital transformation of Sriwijaya University. According to Aron Roderick, Country Partnership Lead at SEEK Australia, Sriwijaya University is the first university in Indonesia to integrate SEEK Pass with its university system via a real-time API mechanism. This innovation is a strategic step toward strengthening a digital recruitment ecosystem that is more trustworthy, efficient, and provides added value for graduates as they enter the workforce.
The second innovation is the launch of the Alumni Chat feature, which allows all University of Sriwijaya alumni registered on IAMUNSRI to communicate directly with one another within the platform. This feature serves as a digital space for alumni to share information, expand their professional networks, explore collaboration opportunities, exchange career experiences, and build a more active and productive community.
As experts and platform developers, the COMNETS Research Group believes that universities play a strategic role in building a digital ecosystem capable of producing graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the digital transformation era. Pada tanggal 24 Juni 2026, Komitmen akademisi dalam menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori teknologi mutakhir dan kebutuhan riil industri manufaktur kembali ditunjukan, tim Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dari Grup COMNETS-SPCIES melakukan langkah strategis dalam mendorong transformasi digital sektor manufaktur. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian dan kolaborasi teknologi, tim pakar membedah akselerasi Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) untuk mengoptimalkan operasional di pabrik PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard (SPF), Indralaya. Langkah ini menandai upaya serius akademisi dalam menjembatani celah antara teori mutakhir dengan kebutuhan riil industri papan serat skala ekspor tersebut.

Pembukan secara resmi oleh Faisal Mardanita (HRD Manager PT. SPF) yang menyambut baik kegiatan tim Lab COMNETS-SPCIES untuk sharing knowledge dan sinergi dalam pemecahan atau identifikasi masalah pada rutinitas pekerjaan di PT. SPF. Disampaikan juga tentang sinergi dan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan selama ini bersama UNSRI terutama dalam rekruitmen alumni UNSRI hingga sampai pada kegiatan ini imbuhnya. Dilanjutkan dengan Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan. Ph.D (Dosen Prodi S3 Ilmu Komputer) yang mengatakan kegiatan ini berfokus pada akselerasi teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Smart Industry untuk memecahkan berbagai tantangan operasional. Mengusung juga semangat inovasi berdampak (Impactful) yang sejalan dengan status Universitas Sriwijaya sebagai Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Badan Hukum (PTN BH) yang dituntut untuk aktif menghadirkan solusi ilmiah bagi industri lokal dan nasional. Dalam era Industri 4.0 yang menuntut efisiensi tinggi, adopsi Artificial Intelligence (AI) bukan lagi sekadar pilihan, melainkan kebutuhan mutlak. Menyadari hal tersebut, tim ahli dari Fasilkom UNSRI membedah empat pilar teknologi krusial yang siap merevolusi operasional pabrik.
Disampaikan juga perjalanan Fasilkom UNSRI, yang didukung oleh ekosistem pendidikan lengkap mulai dari program Diploma, Sarjana, Magister, hingga Program Doktor Ilmu Komputer yang berdiri sejak tahun 2024, menurunkan tim kepakaran terbaiknya untuk mendampingi PT. SPF menuju era Smart Factory. Melalui keahlian di bidang Kecerdasan Buatan, Data Sains, dan Internet of Things (IoT), tim peneliti berupaya mengkonversi problem fisik di lapangan menjadi pemodelan data kognitif yang dapat diotomatisasi.

Dalam sesi pertama, Abdurahman, M.Han dan Ferlian Seftianto, M.Kom. (prodi Sistem Komputer) sebagai tim peneliti dengan tema automasi Smart Industry dalam interoperability yang menitik beratkan pada integrasi teknologi digital, sensor, Internet of Things (IoT), dan kecerdasan buatan dalam proses produksi. Melalui pendekatan ini, perusahaan diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, mengurangi ketergantungan pada proses manual, serta memperoleh visibilitas yang lebih baik terhadap kondisi operasional secara real-time. Ide tentang middleware untuk pertukaran data dalam olahan data antar perangkat menjadi utama dalam sesi ini, Dimana pentingnya pengelolaan dan integrasi data lintas sistem yang selama ini sering menjadi tantangan dalam lingkungan industri. Tim Smart Industri menjelaskan bagaimana interoperabilitas memungkinkan pertukaran data yang lebih cepat, akurat, dan terstandarisasi antarunit kerja, sehingga mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang berbasis data (data-driven decision making).

Paparan kedua mengulas pengembangan User Interface (UI) untuk visualisasi dan pemantauan data industry oleh Ricy Firnando, M.Kom (Prodi Teknik Komputer). Diperlihatkan bagaimana dashboard interaktif dapat menyajikan informasi produksi, performa mesin, indikator kualitas, hingga parameter operasional lainnya secara mudah dipahami oleh pengguna dan data tersebut di dapat secara realtime / tangkapan dari arus infomasi yang dibuat oleh masing-masing mesin. Dengan visualisasi yang tepat, manajemen dan operator dapat memantau kondisi pabrik secara lebih efektif serta merespons potensi permasalahan dengan lebih cepat.

Pada sesi berikutnya, peserta diperkenalkan dengan pemanfaatan chatbot berbasis AI sebagai sarana otomasi kepakaran dalam lingkungan Perusahaan yang disampaikan oleh Danny Matthew Saputra, S.T., M.Sc (Prodi Sistem Komputer) dan Dr. Qurhanul Rizkie (prodi Manajemen Informatika), menjelaskan tentang pendekatan terbaru untuk mendukung Enterprise Data Management, khususnya dalam pengelolaan arsip, dokumentasi, prosedur operasional, hingga basis pengetahuan perusahaan. Melalui chatbot, pengguna dapat memperoleh informasi yang relevan secara cepat tanpa harus melakukan pencarian manual pada dokumen yang tersebar di berbagai sistem penyimpanan. Ditambahkan, Teknologi ini dirancang untuk mengubah dokumen Standar Operasional Prosedur menjadi basis pengetahuan digital yang dapat diakses secara interaktif melalui chatbot. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi AI generatif dapat memperoleh informasi prosedur kerja secara cepat, akurat, dan konsisten tanpa harus menelusuri dokumen secara manual.

Sesi Keempat, membahas praktik prompt engineering yang disampaikan oleh Iman Saladin B Azhar, M.MSi (prodi Sistem Komputer) dan penerapannya dalam sistem industri. Tim Smart Industry menjelaskan bahwa kualitas keluaran AI sangat dipengaruhi oleh cara pengguna menyusun instruksi atau prompt. Berbagai contoh kasus diperlihatkan untuk menunjukkan bagaimana teknik penyusunan prompt yang tepat dapat membantu analisis data, penyusunan laporan, pencarian informasi teknis, hingga mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan dalam lingkungan industri. Sesi tersebut dicontohkan dalam membangun platform HRIS (Human Resources Info.System), Dimana system ini juga akan dilakukan bersama Nurul Afifah. M.Kom.

Sesi terakhir, Kandidat Doktor Adi Hermansyah, M.T (prodi Teknik Komputer) menjelaskan tentang perangkat Smart Cyber Physical System (Smart Health), dijelaskannya alat ini mengandalkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan IoT, alat ini mampu mengukur enam parameter kesehatan esensial sekaligus secara real-time: Saturasi Oksigen, Denyut Jantung, Tekanan Darah, Suhu Tubuh, Tinggi Badan dan Berat Badan. Semua data sensorik tersebut diproses oleh algoritma AI untuk memberikan gambaran klinis yang instan dan data secara realtime dapat dikirim ke system lain / platform existing. Diceritakanjuga &nbsp;oleh Dr. Ir. Ahmad Heryanto (prodi Teknik Komputer) alat ini sudah di pasang di beberapa titik layanan Kesehatan seperti di puskesmas dan RSMH. Kehadiran alat ini sebagai hilirisasi nyata dari hasil penelitian yang menegaskan bahwa pihak terkait sangat serius dalam mengadopsi teknologi lokal.

Tim Smart Industri juga melakukan kunjungan ke Ruang Central produksi untuk mendapat gambara tentang konsep optimasi prediktif kegagalan produk berbasis Agentic AI dibawah koordinasi Dr. Ahmad Zarkasi, Dr. Kemahyanto Exsaudi, Aditya Putra Perdana Prasetyo, M.T. dan Rahmat Fadli Isnanto, M.Sc (prodi Teknik Komputer),. Pendekatan ini memanfaatkan agen kecerdasan buatan yang mampu menganalisis data produksi, mengidentifikasi pola anomali, serta memberikan rekomendasi tindakan secara proaktif untuk mencegah potensi kegagalan produk. Teknologi Agentic AI dinilai memiliki potensi besar dalam mendukung sistem predictive quality dan predictive maintenance yang semakin dibutuhkan oleh industri modern, yang dijelaskan oleh Sekretaris Departemen Sistem Komputer Huda Ubaya, M.T. yang hadir menyertai dalam kunjungan tersebut.
Kolaborasi antara Fasilkom UNSRI dan PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard ini menjadi bukti nyata bahwa riset kecerdasan buatan tingkat lanjut tidak hanya berhenti di atas kertas, melainkan mampu menjadi motor penggerak efisiensi dan digitalisasi industri manufaktur di Sumatera Selatan. Ditunggu implementasi penuh teknologi Agentic AI ini di lantai produksi.

Diakhir sesi, Pihak manajemen PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard menyambut sangat baik kolaborasi ini. Melalui metode pendekatan interaktif yang melibatkan paparan tema kegiatan, diskusi dua arah, serta demo singkat hasil sistem pintar, diharapkan problem-problem krusial di lantai produksi&mdash;seperti optimasi bahan baku, prediksi perawatan mesin (predictive maintenance), hingga efisiensi energi dapat diselesaikan secara cerdas menggunakan teknologi AI. &nbsp;Implementasi AI di lingkungan PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard didasari oleh pergeseran paradigma industri global yang menuntut efisiensi tingkat tinggi. Berdasarkan laporan tren global seperti Future of Jobs Report, kompetensi modern seperti analytical thinking, literasi teknologi, serta penguasaan AI &amp; Big Data kini menjadi pilar utama yang menentukan daya saing sebuah perusahaan.

On June 24, 2026, the commitment of academics to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and the real needs of the manufacturing industry was once again demonstrated, as a team from the Faculty of Computer Science within the COMNETS-SPCIES Group took strategic steps to drive digital transformation in the manufacturing sector. Through community service and technological collaboration, the team of experts explored the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize operations at the PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard (SPF) factory in Indralaya. This initiative marks a serious effort by academics to bridge the gap between cutting-edge theory and the real-world needs of this export-scale fiberboard industry.

Next was Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan, Ph.D. (Professor in the Doctoral Program in Computer Science), who stated that this event focuses on accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Smart Industry technologies to address various operational challenges. It also embodies the spirit of impactful innovation, in line with Sriwijaya University’s status as a State University with Legal Entity Status (PTN BH), which is required to actively provide scientific solutions for local and national industries. In the Industry 4.0 era, which demands high efficiency, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer merely an option but an absolute necessity. Recognizing this, a team of experts from the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) examined four crucial technological pillars poised to revolutionize factory operations.
The presentation also highlighted the journey of UNSRI’s Faculty of Computer Science, which—supported by a comprehensive educational ecosystem ranging from diploma, bachelor’s, and master’s programs to the Doctoral Program in Computer Science established in 2024—has deployed its top team of experts to guide PT. SPF toward the era of the Smart Factory. Leveraging expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and the Internet of Things (IoT), the research team is working to convert physical problems on the ground into cognitive data models that can be automated.

In the first session, Abdurahman, M.Han, and Ferlian Seftianto, M.Kom. (Computer Systems program) served as the research team, focusing on Smart Industry automation within an interoperability framework that emphasizes the integration of digital technology, sensors, the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence into production processes. Through this approach, companies are expected to improve efficiency, reduce reliance on manual processes, and gain better real-time visibility into operational conditions. The concept of middleware for data exchange between devices was central to this session, highlighting the importance of cross-system data management and integration—which has long been a challenge in industrial environments. The Smart Industry team explained how interoperability enables faster, more accurate, and standardized data exchange between work units, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making.

The second presentation, delivered by Ricy Firnando, M.Kom (Computer Engineering Program), covered the development of a User Interface (UI) for visualizing and monitoring industrial data. It demonstrated how an interactive dashboard can present information on production, machine performance, quality indicators, and other operational parameters in a way that is easily understood by users, with data obtained in real time or captured from the data streams generated by each machine. With the right visualization, management and operators can monitor factory conditions more effectively and respond to potential issues more quickly.

In the next session, participants were introduced to the use of AI-based chatbots as a means of automating expert knowledge within a corporate environment, presented by Danny Matthew Saputra, S.T., M.Sc (Computer Systems Program) and Dr. Qurhanul Rizkie (Information Management Program), who explained the latest approaches to supporting Enterprise Data Management, particularly in the management of archives, documentation, operational procedures, and the corporate knowledge base. Through the chatbot, users can quickly access relevant information without having to manually search through documents scattered across various storage systems. Additionally, this technology is designed to transform Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents into a digital knowledge base that can be accessed interactively via a chatbot. By leveraging generative AI technology, users can obtain information on work procedures quickly, accurately, and consistently without having to manually search through documents.

The fourth session discussed prompt engineering practices, presented by Iman Saladin B Azhar, M.MSi (Computer Systems program), and their application in industrial systems. The Smart Industry team explained that the quality of AI output is heavily influenced by how users formulate instructions, or prompts. Various case studies were presented to demonstrate how proper prompt engineering techniques can assist with data analysis, report generation, technical information retrieval, and even support decision-making processes in industrial settings. The session included an example of building an HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platform, a project that will also be carried out in collaboration with Nurul Afifah, M.Kom.

In the final session, Ph.D. candidate Adi Hermansyah, M.T. (Computer Engineering program), discussed the Smart Cyber-Physical System (Smart Health) device. He explained that this device relies on artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), and is capable of measuring six essential health parameters simultaneously in real time: oxygen saturation, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, height, and weight. All of this sensor data is processed by AI algorithms to provide an instant clinical overview, and the real-time data can be sent to other systems or existing platforms. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Heryanto (Computer Engineering program) also explained that this device has already been installed at several healthcare facilities, such as community health centers and RSMH. The presence of this device represents a tangible commercialization of research results, underscoring that relevant parties are highly committed to adopting local technology.

The Smart Industry team also visited the Central Production Room to gain insight into the concept of predictive optimization of product failures based on Agentic AI, under the coordination of Dr. Ahmad Zarkasi, Dr. Kemahyanto Exsaudi, Aditya Putra Perdana Prasetyo, M.T., and Rahmat Fadli Isnanto, M.Sc. (Computer Engineering program). This approach utilizes artificial intelligence agents capable of analyzing production data, identifying anomalous patterns, and proactively providing recommendations to prevent potential product failures. Agentic AI technology is considered to have great potential in supporting predictive quality and predictive maintenance systems, which are increasingly needed by modern industry, as explained by Huda Ubaya, M.T., Secretary of the Department of Computer Systems, who accompanied the delegation during the visit.
This collaboration between the Faculty of Computer Science at UNSRI and PT. Sumatera Prima Fibreboard serves as concrete evidence that advanced artificial intelligence research does not remain merely on paper but can serve as a driving force for efficiency and the digitalization of the manufacturing industry in South Sumatra. The full implementation of Agentic AI technology on the production floor is eagerly anticipated.

Suasana di koridor Graha Eksekutif Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Dr. Mohammad Hoesin (RSMH) Palembang hari ini menjadi saksi sejarah baru bagi digitalisasi medis di Sumatra Selatan. Sebuah inovasi teknologi kesehatan masa depan&mdash;Smart Health&mdash;hasil riset mendalam selama dua tahun oleh dosen Fakultas Ilmu Komputer, mahasiswa Sistem Komputer, dan Alumni Doktoral di Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI) resmi diuji coba dan dipasang secara langsung di Graha Eksekutif.&nbsp; Momentum krusial ini disaksikan dan diuji langsung oleh Direktur Layanan Operasional (DirLO) RSMH, dr. Rahmadian, MKM. Beliau mencoba keandalan alat pintar tersebut sekaligus memastikan seluruh data medis yang terekam langsung terkoneksi ke Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) menggunakan metode Single Sign-On (SSO). Dengan Sinergi DIRLO bersama Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UNSRI sudah berlangsung sejak dua tahun ini dalam kegiatan IMWORK &ndash; COMNETS bersama para Industri dan pemerintahan di Sumatera Selatan.

Perangkat Smart Health besutan peneliti UNSRI ini bukan sekadar alat pemantau biasa. Mengandalkan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan IoT, alat ini mampu mengukur enam parameter kesehatan esensial sekaligus secara real-time: Saturasi Oksigen, Denyut Jantung, Tekanan Darah, Suhu Tubuh, Tinggi Badan dan Berat Badan. Semua data sensorik tersebut diproses oleh algoritma AI untuk memberikan gambaran klinis yang instan dan akurat mengenai kondisi awal pasien begitu mereka memasuki area Graha Eksekutif untuk tahap selanjutnyam, begitu yang disampaikan kepada para staff Rumah Sakit.

Salah satu poin paling krusial dari demonstrasi hari ini adalah aspek interoperabilitas data. Saat DirLO melakukan uji coba, data dari keenam parameter kesehatan tersebut langsung terkirim ke platform SIMRS RSMH via SSO. Dengan interkoneksi ini, membuat dokter dan perawat tidak perlu lagi memasukkan data pasien secara manual dari kertas ke komputer. Ditambahkan oleh tim Leader Smart Health, Mahasisw Doktoral Adi Hermansyah dikatakan dengan fitur ini maka : (1) Keamanan Terjamin: Akses data terpusat dan terenkripsi, (2) Zero Human Error: Menghilangkan risiko salah ketik angka tensi atau saturasi dan (3) Kecepatan Layanan: Begitu pasien selesai diperiksa oleh perangkat Smart Health, dokter di ruang konsultasi sudah bisa membaca hasilnya di layar monitor mereka saat itu juga. Sehari Sebelumnya yang disampaikan oleh Kasubdit Alumni Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan. PhD yang juga sebagai bridging dari kegiatan ini mengatakan bahwa tim SIMRS, Instalasi Pemeliharaan Sarana Rumah Sakit dan tim kerja BMN RSMH telah mengunjugi Lab COMNETS-SPCIES &nbsp;untuk mengandeng dan memperkuat langkah Transformasi Digital disana. &nbsp;Dalam kesempatan tersebut, tim COMNETS-SPCIES memaparkan sejumlah hasil riset dan pengembangan teknologi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan rumah sakit modern berbasis digital. Salah satu inovasi yang menjadi perhatian adalah sistem navigasi cerdas untuk robot pengantar obat berbasis kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) dan interkoneksi peralatan Intensive Care Unit (ICU) seperti monitor pasien, ventilator, dan alat pemantauan tanda vital lainnya dengan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS). Hadir juga di Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Kepala Departmen Sistem Komputer Dr. Sutarno, Kepala Departmen Informatika Dr. Hadi Purnawan Satria, Sekretasi Departmen Huda Ubaya, Beberapa Dosen lainnya menemani delegasi dari RSMH.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, tim COMNETS-SPCIES memaparkan sejumlah hasil riset dan pengembangan teknologi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan rumah sakit modern berbasis digital. Salah satu inovasi yang menjadi perhatian adalah sistem navigasi cerdas untuk robot pengantar obat berbasis kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI). Teknologi ini dirancang untuk memungkinkan robot bergerak secara mandiri di lingkungan rumah sakit dengan memanfaatkan sensor, pemetaan ruangan, dan algoritma AI untuk menentukan rute yang aman dan efisien. &nbsp;Melalui sistem tersebut, robot dapat membantu proses distribusi obat dari instalasi farmasi menuju ruang perawatan pasien, sehingga mengurangi beban kerja tenaga kesehatan sekaligus meningkatkan efisiensi operasional rumah sakit. Selain itu, penggunaan robot juga dinilai mampu meminimalkan risiko kesalahan distribusi dan mendukung layanan yang lebih cepat kepada pasien. Kekuatan robot ini yang dinamkaan MEDRO (Medicine Delivery Robotics) seperti yang dijelaskan oleh tim leadernya Dr. Ahmad Zarkasi mengatakan ada tiga pilar utama : (1) Deteksi Halangan, (2) Kecerdasan Navigasi dan (3) System Hidrolik.
Selain demonstrasi robot pengantar obat, tim COMNETS-SPCIES juga mempresentasikan konsep interkoneksi peralatan Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dengan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) yang disampaikan oleh Tim Leader Dr. Kemahyanto Exsaudi dan Rahmat Fadli Isnanto. M.Sc. Mereka menjelaskan bagaimana solusi ini memungkinkan berbagai perangkat medis di ruang ICU, seperti monitor pasien, ventilator, dan alat pemantauan tanda vital lainnya, terhubung secara langsung ke sistem informasi rumah sakit. Dengan integrasi tersebut, data pasien dapat dikirim dan direkam secara otomatis ke SIMRS secara real-time. Topik ini menjadi menarik, khususnya perangkat Mindray BeneView, agar data klinis yang dihasilkan dapat ditransmisikan secara otomatis ke sistem informasi rumah sakit dan tidak lagi bergantung pada pencatatan manual oleh tenaga kesehatan.
Tahap awal pengembangan dilakukan melalui proses identifikasi dan pemetaan antarmuka komunikasi (interface mapping) pada perangkat monitor pasien. Proses ini bertujuan untuk memahami mekanisme pertukaran data yang digunakan oleh perangkat medis, termasuk konfigurasi port komunikasi, format data, serta protokol jaringan yang tersedia. Setelah proses identifikasi selesai, tim melakukan implementasi UDP Listener untuk menangkap data yang dikirimkan secara real-time oleh monitor pasien. Melalui mekanisme ini, berbagai parameter vital pasien seperti detak jantung (heart rate), saturasi oksigen (SpO2), tekanan darah, laju pernapasan, dan indikator klinis lainnya dapat diterima secara langsung oleh sistem akuisisi data yang dikembangkan. Untuk menjembatani kebutuhan integrasi dengan aplikasi modern berbasis web dan SIMRS, tim COMNETS-SPCIES kemudian mengembangkan mekanisme konversi data HL7 ke format JSON. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan data klinis dari monitor pasien ditransformasikan menjadi format yang ringan, fleksibel, dan mudah diintegrasikan melalui Application Programming Interface (API) ke SIMRS.
Dijelaskan juga, bawah kolaborasi ini melibatkan tiga elemen penting di UNSRI: (1) Alumni Doktoral: Berperan sebagai arsitek sistem dan konseptor arsitektus dengan memastikan teknologi yang dibangun memenuhi standar yang ketat. (2) Dosen Pengarah: Menjadi motor penggerak riset (R&amp;D) sekaligus menjembatani regulasi antara dunia kampus terutam Lab Pendukung dan kebutuhan riil pihak rumah sakit. Dan (3) Mahasiswa: Menjadi kreator di balik layar yang merakit perangkat keras (hardware) dan memprogram perangkat lunak (software).
Kehadiran alat ini sebagai hilirisasi nyata dari hasil penelitian yang menegaskan bahwa pihak RSMH sangat serius dalam mengadopsi teknologi lokal. Kolaborasi UNSRI dan RSMH ini membuktikan bahwa "Wong Kito" mampu memimpin gerak maju smart hospital di Sumatera Selatan.

The atmosphere in the corridors of the Executive Wing at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Central General Hospital (RSMH) in Palembang today marked a new milestone in the history of medical digitization in South Sumatra. A cutting-edge healthcare innovation—Smart Health—the result of two years of in-depth research by faculty members from the Faculty of Computer Science, Computer Systems students, and doctoral alumni at Sriwijaya University (UNSRI), was officially tested and installed directly in the Executive Wing. This crucial milestone was witnessed and tested firsthand by the Director of Operational Services (DirLO) at RSMH, Dr. Rahmadian, MKM. He tested the reliability of the smart device while ensuring that all recorded medical data was directly connected to the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) using the Single Sign-On (SSO) method. The collaboration between DIRLO and the UNSRI Faculty of Computer Science has been ongoing for the past two years as part of the IMWORK–COMNETS initiative, in partnership with industry and government entities in South Sumatra.

This Smart Health device, developed by UNSRI researchers, is more than just an ordinary monitoring device. Leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT, this device can measure six essential health parameters simultaneously in real-time: oxygen saturation, heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, height, and weight. All this sensor data is processed by AI algorithms to provide an instant and accurate clinical overview of a patient’s initial condition as soon as they enter the Executive Building for the next stage of care, as explained to hospital staff.

One of the most crucial aspects of today’s demonstration was data interoperability. During the DirLO trial, data from all six health parameters was immediately transmitted to the RSMH SIMRS platform via SSO. Thanks to this interconnection, doctors and nurses no longer need to manually enter patient data from paper forms into computers. Adi Hermansyah, a doctoral student and member of the Smart Health Leader team, added that with this feature: (1) Guaranteed Security: Centralized and encrypted data access; (2) Zero Human Error: Eliminates the risk of mistyping blood pressure or oxygen saturation readings; and (3) Faster Service: As soon as a patient is examined by the Smart Health device, doctors in the consultation room can view the results on their monitors immediately. The day before, Prof. Ir. Deris Stiawan, Deputy Director of Alumni Affairs, The PhD, who also served as a liaison for this event, stated that the SIMRS team, the Hospital Facilities Maintenance Department, and the RSMH BMN working group had visited the COMNETS-SPCIES Lab to collaborate and strengthen the Digital Transformation efforts there.  During the visit, the COMNETS-SPCIES team presented several research findings and technological developments relevant to the needs of modern, digitally-based hospitals. One innovation that drew particular attention was an intelligent navigation system for medication-delivery robots powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the interconnection of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipment—such as patient monitors, ventilators, and other vital sign monitoring devices—with the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS). Also present at the Faculty of Computer Science were Dr. Sutarno, Head of the Department of Computer Systems; Dr. Hadi Purnawan Satria, Head of the Department of Informatics; Huda Ubaya, Department Secretary; and several other faculty members who accompanied the delegation from RSMH.
During the event, the COMNETS-SPCIES team presented a number of research findings and technological developments relevant to the needs of modern, digitally-based hospitals. One innovation that drew particular attention was an intelligent navigation system for medication-delivery robots powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This technology is designed to enable the robot to move autonomously within a hospital environment by utilizing sensors, room mapping, and AI algorithms to determine safe and efficient routes.  Through this system, the robot can assist in the distribution of medications from the pharmacy to patient care rooms, thereby reducing the workload on healthcare staff while improving the hospital’s operational efficiency. Additionally, the use of robots is expected to minimize the risk of distribution errors and support faster service delivery to patients. The strengths of this robot, named MEDRO (Medicine Delivery Robotics), as explained by its team leader Dr. Ahmad Zarkasi, rest on three main pillars: (1) Obstacle Detection, (2) Intelligent Navigation, and (3) Hydraulic System.
In addition to the demonstration of the medication delivery robot, the COMNETS-SPCIES team also presented a concept for interconnecting Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipment with the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS), presented by Team Leaders Dr. Kemahyanto Exsaudi and Rahmat Fadli Isnanto, M.Sc. They explained how this solution enables various medical devices in the ICU, such as patient monitors, ventilators, and other vital sign monitoring devices, to connect directly to the hospital information system. With this integration, patient data can be automatically transmitted and recorded in the HIMS in real time. This topic was of particular interest, especially regarding the Mindray BeneView device, as it allows the clinical data it generates to be automatically transmitted to the hospital information system, eliminating the need for manual recording by healthcare staff.
The initial development phase involved identifying and mapping the communication interfaces on the patient monitors. This process aimed to understand the data exchange mechanisms used by the medical devices, including communication port configurations, data formats, and available network protocols. After the identification process was completed, the team implemented a UDP Listener to capture data transmitted in real-time by the patient monitors. Through this mechanism, various patient vital signs—such as heart rate, oxygen saturation (SpO2), blood pressure, respiratory rate, and other clinical indicators—can be directly received by the developed data acquisition system. To bridge the need for integration with modern web-based applications and the SIMRS, the COMNETS-SPCIES team subsequently developed a mechanism to convert HL7 data into JSON format. This approach allows clinical data from patient monitors to be transformed into a lightweight, flexible format that can be easily integrated via an Application Programming Interface (API) into the SIMRS.
It was also explained that this collaboration involves three key elements at UNSRI: (1) Doctoral Alumni: Serving as system architects and conceptual designers by ensuring that the developed technology meets strict standards. (2) Faculty Advisors: They serve as the driving force behind research and development (R&amp;D) while bridging regulatory gaps between the academic world—particularly the Support Lab—and the real-world needs of the hospital. And (3) Students: They are the creators behind the scenes who assemble the hardware and program the software.
The presence of this device represents a tangible application of research results, underscoring RSMH’s serious commitment to adopting local technology. This collaboration between UNSRI and RSMH proves that “Wong Kito” is capable of leading the advancement of smart hospitals in South Sumatra.
